A tall cliff overlooks a kingdom, the village around the castle in the midst of rebuilding efforts. The devil known as Metalia had not struck their village in quite some time; months, in fact. People were leaving their houses more. Children played freely in the streets and fields. And a certain other devil couldn't be happier.
A dark cloak wrapped around her body, Usagi's red eyes observed the village. She had improved over the months; her bloodlust was under control, and even as a good parted of her wanted to rampage on that village, bring that peace to a shattering halt, she did not. Her memories had returned fully, and she had remembered why she had sacrificed her humanity, why she had given herself freely to darkness. It was for this: this peace. The freedom of her love's people from the destruction of a devil.
It was more than just the deal at work; a group of four mages had worked together with another kingdom's forces, and after a bloody battle, sealed the devil inside her lair. Not even Metalia's powers could break the seal, and it seemed the monster was sealed away for good.
Also sealing away any hope of Usagi returning to her human state, as the only way that could be done was killing her with her own two hands.
