Kunzite has stubbornness, but he lacks Zoisite's effortless resistence. Where emotions or worries are thrust away from the wall Kunzite erects around himself, they seem to simply melt away in the face of Zoisite's calm ( Read more... )

He's aware of a watcher immediately. Trained senses let the faint suspicion of hostility reach him, but when Kunzite turns sharply to look.... He's never seen the person in front of his eyes before. He tilts his head back, looking more carefully, but no recognition dawns.

"Who are you?" he asks directly.

That name, too, means nothing to him, and Kunzite accepts it equably, with a neutral nod.

"Of the Earth Kingdom, one of the shitennou, Kunzite." He introduces himself formally simply as identification. But dark eyes linger on Saffir, gauging his reaction.

That, in and of itself, is not enough to worry him, either. If this person knows the Earth Kingdom, they are likely from the past life. This means they understand the world where all the civilizations in the solar system had contact with one another.

"From which planet?" Kunzite asks.

He knows what fate likely lies in store for both the Earth and Moon. But he knows how little he'd be believed. Hadn't he spent so long disbelieved by the men who should have been closest to him? Again, the burden of knowledge descends on his shoulders. He wears it like old, grim armor.

"I welcome you from the Moon, then," Kunzite says carefully. "We are on Earth even now, in the twentieth century." He wouldn't think to provide those details normally, but this boy seems already familiar with the different dimensions and worlds around them.

"Perhaps." He says no more, because he's never been one to reveal all his thoughts. But while this might be the past opposed to the present, there are already differences enough accounted for - a prominent clan on the Moon that he knows nothing about, for example - it may also simply be different.

Kunzite turns slightly away, and his lips form a very faintly amused half-smirk. "Allow me to extend our hospitality." He makes a gesture for Saffir to accompany him.

He will give Saffir a very carefully guided tour of the (admittedly pretty) parts of this area that will be safe for him to see. Kunzite will not risk an unknown person, whether from the moon or Earth, approaching the master and princess from the nexus.

Kunzite leads the way towards a nearby park, one that receives few visitors and where their presence will not be remarked upon despite the odd clothing for the era. It's also conveniently away from anywhere the senshi or shitennou, especially those two, call home.

"It'd be a shame not to enjoy such a beautiful day," he explains their progress glibly.
