Standing at the edge of the Universe

Silver eyes watch the Cauldron spin and swirl. It is the thing she protects more than anything else. She smiles, perhaps sadly as she stands in silence. The swirl of the cauldron is the only sound in the air. She moves to stand at the edge of the bridge ( Read more... )

When she finds herself before this woman, there's an instant of recognition, despite the differences in physical form, and without hesitation or heed of the nexus which has brought her, Venus falls easily to one knee. It's familiar move, no matter how much her kind hearted liege has always protested, or that this is some alternate of that person. Serenity is a person who shall always have her respect. So as her head bows a little, she turns her eyes up upon that form, waiting patiently to be recognized.

When she heard Venus come she didn't not yet move to look at her. When she heard her move she watched the goddess of love kneel and she moved. Cosmos gently lifted Venus' chin, smiling.

"Do not kneel beautiful Goddess of Love. Not here."

Something relaxed a little, at that smile, but there was too much of a soldier still, even in this peaceful Venus, so she shook her head and offered only a small smile in return to this alternate of her queen.

"I can do no less than to show my respect for you, my queen. But it disturbs me to see that you have taken up a soldier's mantle. That is not a fate someone with your kind heart should ever be burdened with."

She could not help but smile at this Venus. She was like the Venus of the Silver Millennium. She was even like the Venus of Crystal Tokyo.

"Please do not worry so. This is my fate. When my daughter takes the crown, this is the role I will take."

That similarity possibly had much to do with the fact that this Venus was from what many might have called the 'past life,' in a world where things had ended much differently than most worlds. Things had not ended at all, in fact, and had progressed so far that it was not a completely strange idea that Serenity would have a daughter, but...

"I cannot help but worry, though I shall try for your sake. I simply enjoy watching you as the carefree and loving queen you have become. The thought of you in battle is not a pleasant one..." She paused though, as if to remain true to her word, and moved on to an easier topic. "You must tell me of this daughter that you have born. If we are to welcome such a child in my world at some point, I look forward to knowing of her."

She loves talking about her pride and joy. Truly she does. She is so proud of her precious daughter. She smiles and presses a hand to her heart.

"Her name is Queen Small Lady Serenity. And she is such a beautiful woman," she smiles. The love of a mother is clear. She cannot help but to adore he little baby. She smiled knowing that Small Lady would be embarrassed that her mother still thought of her that way. "And she is a fair and just Queen. I visit her often... the people are happy under her rule."

Her smile warmed a little, at seeing that loving look in the other woman's eyes, and it was almost a sort of comforting thought. Even if this Serenity had become a senshi, it seemed that even still she hadn't lost that softness that they all adored about that, that softness that had made them trust her through the war, and had led to peace for the entire system.

"If she has anything of her mother's heart, I would not believe otherwise." Then, Venus gave Serenity a sly, amused look. "Although I'm sure that she must have inherited other traits as well. Or perhaps the king's influence helped to even things out?"
