The nexus seems to have connected to a club room this time. The interior seems to be mostly improvised, as all pieces of furniture don't match and seem to have been dragged to this room from various places. There's a computer on the table though and a big book case which is stacked with anything but books. (There seem to be a few books defiantly ( Read more... )

Ami is getting more used to being in random places than she'd like. She's riveted to the doorway, though, not quite willing to be rude enough to barge in uninvited. Her eyes soon find the senshi costume, and stay there a moment.

Minako seems to be admiring the cheerleader-like outfit she's holding in front of her right now in the mirror. Apparently it fascinates her so that she doesn't even notice Ami arriving. It isn't until she put the costume back between the others that she does.

"Ami-chan!" Minako smiles, greeting the other girl. "Usagi-chan isn't here yet, it's really weird! Have you seen her?"

Oh, dear. This person seems to know her, or rather, her alternate. It'd probably be worse to insist there's a mistake, so she pastes a friendly smile to her face despite hating herself for the deception.

"I'm sorry," she apologizes. "I'm late, too." She assumes so if Usagi is, anyway.

"It's alright," Minako replies, "as long as Usagi isn't here yet nobody minds anyway!"

She goes back to her new prized costumes, frowning as she finds one that seems quite a few sizes too big for her. "I just hope that Usagi is alright wherever she is. There haven't seemed to be any disturbances yet, right?" Now she thinks about it, she hasn't seen Makoto, Rei or even Mamoru around yet either. Perhaps they were with Usagi.

Think, Ami, think. People often write their names on their school belongings, don't they? Folders and (removable, she hopes, not the original ones) book covers? Ami tries to sneakily get a peek at these for clues as she answers Minako.

"I'm sure she's fine," Ami says absently.

"That's what I've been hoping too!" Minako answers, still up and about with the costumes.

On some of the books (which carry quite complex titles) there's 'Mizuno Ami' written, most likely to at least protect the books from being thrown away in the upcoming storm of games and karaoke sets and many other things in the book case without knowing to who they belong. One or two of the books read 'Chiba Mamoru'. On the table lies a (A-marked, it's her best subject!) English test with that seems like it was put there recently with 'Aino Minako' on it.

The other girl certainly isn't Mizuno Ami. Chiba Mamoru... No, not that either. Aino Minako, perhaps?

"You did very well in English, didn't you?" Ami purposely keeps her eyes away from the test so it can seem like a casual comment about recent school exams.

She seems rather proud when she answers the question. "I did! Sensei said I'm really good, I only need to work on my proverbs." Have a mock melodramatic sigh after that. "Seriously, why do they make proverbs so complicated anyway? My versions are much easier to understand!" (Maybe to her. Not to the rest of the world.)

Ami has not experienced the Joy of Minako's Proverbs yet. She gives the blonde a slightly perplexed look, but nods with a polite smile.

"Congratulations on your grades, then," she says correctly.
