They caught her. Somehow, for some reason, Beryl is in jail. Or at least, she's been placed in a rather cold and damp-looking cell; the smell of must and grime is all about. Notably, she wears no jewelry or ornaments whatsoever.
She paces almost angrily to and fro, alternated by fits of just sitting on the floor and staring. She doesn't know whether to be furious or resigned, or hopeless. She did nothing wrong! Justice isn't supposed to capture an innocent! When a noise sounds, she perks up immediately and comes forward to the edge of the cell nearest the door, straining to see who it is.
