Sailor Moon stares at the other senshi, bound with vines and rope, herself the only one still free. But that daimon... Is it even a daimon, or a human being manipulated? It looks so human. She has a horrible feeling about this somehow. She doesn't know anymore, she doesn't know how to tell a friend or an enemy or a friend-turned-enemy or an enemy-turned-friend. It's all too confusing, too much for her normally black and white (but always easy to move between) categories.
In the time it takes her to decide, the enemy lashes out at the captured girls, satisfied with tormenting them while Sailor Moon isn't attacking anyway. Angry welts and cuts appear on Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus. That's right; she can't let that happen. Finally, her rod appears in her hands.
"World Shaking!"
"Deep Submerge!"
The daimon disappears before Sailor Moon even calls her attack, dissipated by the combined power of Uranus and Neptune. Uranus turns a livid face to Sailor Moon that's mirrored by Neptune- and both begin berating her at once. What's most audible to the others are the phrases like 'Too naive' and 'See where it leads?!' Uranus jabs an angry finger back towards the injured others. Where there should be support for Sailor Moon from the them, there's silence this time; they're hurt and worse: Why did she hold back?
Uranus and Neptune disappear into the shadows as always, after a predictable decision to let the inner senshi get themselves free and an easy joke about whether they'll be able to or whether they need help even without an enemy in front of them. Sailor Moon helps the other senshi break out of their bonds and the eerie silence feels even deeper.
"What's wrong with you lately?" An irritated Mars breaks the quiet as she holds her arm with her opposite hand. They must all think Usagi's just spacing out. They go their separate ways.
Her school bag, which always seems far too heavy to her, must have doubled in weight. Usagi's arms sag with its weight as she carries it in front of her. She doesn't think the others will be there - later, she'll apologize and try to explain and they can all forgive each other (she hopes) but right now they're probably still mad at her - so she slips into Crown Cafe to drown her sorrows in a few milkshakes and chocolate thunders.
