The large multipurpose ballroom had seen some strange things happening over the last couple years, but today something much more normal is taking place. Decorations line the walls, with large nutcracker statues at repeating intervals. At one end, there is a large Christmas tree, with lights, toy-shaped ornaments, and a big star with a smiling face upon the front. As one moves, one may notice the eyes follow. Beneath the tree sits numerous packages of every shape and size, each with a name written on it. There might even be one for you!
Toward the middle, a karaoke machine is powered up and ready for anyone who might wish to use it, and beside that is a small bar fully stocked with candy, cookies, eggnog, hot cocoa, and any other beverage or snack you can think of. The big screen television that's off to the other side of the room seems to have a game console hooked up to it at the moment, with a few controllers laying out. Someone was apparently playing Boom Blox, but feel free to change it out.
Christmas music fills the air at the other end of the room, where tables and chairs are set out in one corner for those who wish to mingle, play games, relax a little, or just talk with friends. Several decks of cards are about, as well as some other games, such as checkers and Twister.
And don't forget to watch where you're standing. There are sprigs of mistletoe hanging in various places about the large room, including right underneath the large chandelier in the center of the room. It wouldn't be Christmas without a little mischief. Those finding themselves under the mistletoe might feel the need to satisfy the tradition, but the sensation can be easily shrugged off if one wishes.
(ooc: Eat, drink, and be merry! Threadjacking is encouraged but do be polite about it. Do not be careful to keep Usagi away from any wine, as there is likely some behind the bar. Feel free to find presents with the appropriate names on them. You're likely to find a toy, but related somehow to whoever opens it.
