Tsukino Usagi is having a Very Good Day. She's been cheerfully stalking the mall for gift ideas (mostly for herself; how can she whine at her parents for the right presents if she doesn't look around?) and sipping on a soft drink she must have bought from the food court earlier.
She freezes when she spots Black Lady. "Eh?! But-" But they healed her! She went back to normal and they defeated Wiseman! And- and-!!
Oh dear, that voice again? Wasn't she allowed to have any fun without that grating upon her ears? They were sensitive she'd have you know, probably from having spent too much time around that obnoxious specimen of a female Or Emerald, it was a toss up really..
"Wicked Lady." She corrected blandly, not bothering to look at Usagi. Really she just wanted to have some fun. Couldn't the goody goodies go shopping another day?
"But what happened?" She stares, still caught off-guard and torn between backing up or pleading with the other girl or just not knowing what to do. "You came back..." she adds, quieter.
Pause for processing. If she's here, but she was healed...
"Unfortunately I'm assuming that it is so. Otherwise I wouldn't have to deal with your presence right now." It was an obvious hint to get lost, not that the other would heed it. Not only would that be too easy it was likely Usagi's skull was entirely too thick to take the hint.
"Hey, that's kind of harsh!" Usagi pouts at the obvious you-are-not-wanted-here vibes. She brightens a moment later, though. "We're both here shopping, so can't we go together?"
Only Usagi would probably consider this a viable idea. Really, Usagi? Really? But she can't just ignore Chibusa (or Wicked Lady), and she definitely doesn't want to fight, so... Why can't they do something nicer together?
"Why would I want to go shopping with you?" There's scorn in her voice as she frowns at the blonde. Really now Usagi, what sort of idea was this? You were trying to ruin her holiday for her weren't you? She'd always known you weren't as nice as you pretended to be.
Usagi demands holiday fun together with her alternate future daughter! She protests immediately.
"You have a shopping list, so you can't be grumpy about shopping, you know," she grumbles, already reaching for Wicked Lady's arm as if they're close friends and this is just some little spat like she might have with Rei - or Chibiusa - picking on her.
She doesn't want to have holiday fun with her alternate past mother! Because it wouldn't be fun it'd be a headache!
"I wasn't grumpy until you interrupted me." Wicked Lady pointed out, yanking her arm out of Usagi's reach with a scornful look. Since when had this idiot that she'd actually let the blonde touch her person?
Still it was hard to be truly venomous given she'd been in such a good mood before damn it.
"Being in the same place by chance isn't interrupting!" No, Usagi, but pestering her to death is. Has this occurred to you yet?
She lets Wicked Lady yank the arm away, but she seems undeterred; apparently it hasn't occurred to her. She's determined though; she will show Chibiusa the strength of her love for her daughter.
"Come on, come on! Where should we go first?" She beams a smile at Wicked Lady.
"No but refusing to go away and let me shop in peace is." It's occurred to her, but then she's always been a little brighter than her mother or so she'd like to think anyway.
There was no way she was going to let that thing touch her, oh no. Frankly, you can show whatever you want, but can you to it several hundred feet further away?
"How about you go to hell and I'll go back to my shopping?" Have a scowl, she's really not happy to see you.
"Hey, don't use such filthy language!" She doesn't always act the most proper herself, but she's Wicked Lady's 'mother'... kinda sorta... so she should say something like a parent would say.
"We don't have to fight, after all," she points out a bit more calmly. "So what's wrong with going together?"
"I'll use whatever language I please and it's of no business of yours." She's a big girl now, that means ignore her 'mother' is more than perfectly acceptable. Note to self, find a way to cover that damn mark, maybe then people would leave her alone.
"Or we could go our separate ways because I'm in a generous mood for the holidays." She growled, really take the hint and leave if you weren't going to start a fight. "What's wrong? Your very presence makes me sick!"
"But why?" Usagi persists, more serious now. "Even if something happened, that wasn't "me". I'm my own self, just like you are. So why do I make you sick?"
"Why?" She snapped, red eyes flashing as she wheeled to look at Usagi fully. "Because I don't like you that's why. The fact that I even have to share are with anyone who looks like you is enough to make me want to stop breathing until you and your taint is gone."
Usagi's eyes widen as though Wicked Lady had struck her physically. That's harsh. But when the shock subsides, instead of that cheerfulness or even her half-playful cajoling or her grumpy banter, she has an obviously forced and somewhat painful smile.
"I see," she says quietly. This is... not the first time she's been blamed for quite a variety of things. It's starting to add up and take its toll.
Now now, everyone knew Wicked Lady preferred words or power to physically hitting someone, it was just her way. She's actually quite pleased with herself now actually, it's about time you showed such a response.
"Scum of the earth actually." She's smiling now, really that was too nice. Maybe it wasn't a bad thing she'd run into Usagi after all.
