Some dance to remember; some dance to forget

There's fast-paced music with a steady beat playing, and a crowd of people dancing. Mizuno Ami (thanks to a quick picture and disguise with the teletia-S) doesn't stand out among them at all. She's here to blend in, here to forget, here to be a bit free ( Read more... )

Huh? Where was she?

Black Lady stares at the scene, wondering what just happened. This wasn't Nemesis; this was Earth. Then, it has to be the Nexus. She sees the girl, but doesn't quite recognize her. Something is familiar about her, but...

Ami's used to versions of Chibiusa or Black Lady knowing her identity, and soon makes her way over to this one. She doesn't recognize her specifically...

"Black Lady?" Her mouth quirks upward. "Welcome!"

"A-ami-chan?" Blink. She's certainly surprised. "What's going on?"

Well, it's better than a senshi saying it. And Ami's been wanting to see Black Lady for awhile now, to pump her for information about Black Moon before they destroy a world Demando is set to overturn.

"Dancing," she explains with that sly smile. "Want to?" She holds out a hand.

"Sure!" An awkward chuckle as she takes Ami's hand. "But just to warn you....I'm...not the best."

Ah, she's pretty sure this is the one who joined the Dark Kingdom. Mainly because, it's the only one she can think of.

It's OK; Ami's not the best, either. She knows the steps, but it's not perfect. The beat keeps going as the pair starts dancing.

"You must be here from the nexus," she remarks, letting the general noise keep their conversation private. "I want you to tell me about Black Moon."

"The Black Moon?" The woman blinks, looking slightly worried. "Why? Have they been attacking your world?"

It feels kind of nice to just move, just dance.

"Who knows?" It's hard to say which worlds are connected across time. "They've attacked the distant past somewhere. The Silver Millenium and the Golden Kingdom. That absolutely won't lead anywhere good."

It'd probably kill her to admit someone important to her lives there. Keep it to concern about worlds and fates .

It is nice, even if Black Lady is terrible at the footwork. Ah well.

"The past! The Black Moon....I guess it makes sense, because their planet has the power to warp time and space." Black Lady's eyes narrow slightly. "Still, why would Death Phantom have them attack the past that far back? I don't even think they knew about when the first Silver Millennium was."

"The one behind this Black Moon, is Metalia," Ami announces a touch dramatically. It might explain some of her own interest in defeating them. "Instead of Beryl, Demando already existed then in this world found Metalia while Beryl was imprisoned to keep her away from it."

Different worlds, indeed.

"I see. It might be a little different." Her feet continue to shuffle. "But if Demand's anything like the one I knew...under that evil influence, he wants my mother. And normally doesn't care who he hurts to get her. He trusts in the power given to him almost completely."

"I see." She grins unpleasantly. "Then I just need to break his power."

Far easier said than done, of course. "Well, that might be difficult. He has subordinates he relies on, too, right?"

"It's not so easy to break his power. Especially if you face him alone. He had a third eye that he can use to warp space, or compel your body to do things for him." The story of her mother's near-rape unpleasantly comes to mind, but she shakes her head. "I'm sure you can get past that though. His subordinates...his family was very protective of him. Except, maybe for Rubeus. But even then he won't be compelled to attack Demand. None of them will."

A pause.

"The person he was closest to was Safir. His brother, he was a pacifist. When he was killed by Wiseman Demand nearly went insane with grief."

"Saffir is already captured," Ami agrees. Whoever she's tangled up with in this is certainly more aggressive than the average sailor senshi, but that's probably not a surprise by now.

"However, they have Jadeite. Nothing can happen in that situation."

That's right! She gives Black Lady a sly look. "Want to make sure I have plans of their base to find him? It should be similar enough."

"I see." Oddly, she looks a little sad at that. "Aah. That's not good."

Either Safir or Jadeite. But, Safir a little more, since in her world he died - and it was partly her fault it happened.

"On Earth..." she pauses. "I couldn't tell you the exact layout of that base. It warped and changed composition inside to prevent outsiders from teleporting in easily, save for the throne room. That was always in the main spire, up near the top. But, I can tell you what to look for on the outside. A black crystal monolith - a large one."

So plans would be no use. How irritating. Yet Black Moon relies on technology stolen from the Silver Millenium, making them view Earth as rather primitive but leaving them open to exploitation by someone technologically proficient- like her.

The only true difficulty would be gathering enough data to start analyzing and isolating patterns of movement or changes in the layout. Well, she can use the nexus as her excuse for that. The throne room and monolith will provide her with a point of reference, too.

"Sit back and watch awhile," she says, lips parting in the intrigued smile of a challenge. "Until I find him."
