Somewhere in the Moonlocket, there is a trail of very delicious-looking candy strewn on the floor. It's mainly peanut and chocolate confections, all still in their original wrapping. It's really pretty enticing to try and collect it all before someone else does ( Read more... )

Candy? Seriously? Kunzite stands in place, arms crossed over his chest, following the trail only by turning his head. He rolls his eyes. But a morbid curiosity compels him to follow the trail at least a little ways, and he pushes himself away from the wall to do so.

It leads to a shadowy corner. Seriously? The shitennou leader eyes the box trap and wonders for a moment if anyone could be a fool enough to pick up the candy, particularly that pile.

(ooc: obvious!trap is obvious, y, or did I misread?)

Oh, it's...not a senshi. It's....a really hot guy. Not a senshi. But still! It might be worth catching him! From her hiding place, Ishtar watches him. Surely he'll take the bait, right?

....Right?...

His senses have never been quite as sharp as, say, Zoisite's, and Kunzite misses the girl lurking to watch him. Ironic, that. On the other hand, he takes the chance that anyone foolish enough to rely on this setup in the first place is probably still nearby in hopes of seeing the results. They would lack the patience to wait and check back later.

Most of his enemies are, at least, smarter than box traps, so Kunzite treats this with absolute amusement.

"Why not come out and share the sweets with me?" he suggests dryly.

What...did he know? Did he...!? No! No, he couldn't. She was Ishtar, the greatest of the Oppositio Senshi!

So, she had to trick him still. He surely wouldn't suspect anything...if...

"Ah! No..." She cleared her throat and tried to disguise her voice by lowering it. "No thank you, I'm uh, diabeaten, no sugar for me. You can have it all!"

"I cannot trespass upon your generosity," Kunzite says with that same wry humor, noting of course that the culprit is indeed here. He doesn't recognize the voice, but it is obviously disguised, which means that rules out no one.

"I would feel too remorseful."

So he casually walks as he speaks, moving towards the source of the voice and making it seem quite natural.

"Oh, uh, but I insist!" Ishtar gulped. "Surely you have friends who like candy too? They can come and share it with you!"

Of course he knows. Kunzite's lips quirk upward into a decidedly humorous smirk. He continues following the sound of the voice, keeping her talking for just that purpose. And now he reaches her, very casually standing with his back to her still, as if he hasn't really noticed.

Then, abruptly, he turns around, putting him face to face with-

a girl who looks remarkably like Sailorvenus, but different enough to clearly not be her. What is this? The smirk changes to mild confusion.

"Who are you?"

"GAAAH!!" The sudden movements cause an instant reaction, and Ishtar leaps up, her arms flailing. "Waaah!! Don't look here! Th-there's nothing to see here! Pay no attention to me!!"

Her reaction makes him laugh outright, a merry if somewhat too-loud sound. He straightens to his full height, and glances behind him towards the trap. He makes a small gesture, and unless it's rigged to prevent it, the plate of goodies should levitate safely right to his hand.

Really? He gives her a Look instead of an answer, and his eyes look towards the ceiling again.

"You lack subtlety," he tells her after a moment, relenting. Like Nephrite, he can't help but make the connection though he suspects the red-haired boy would do far better than this.

Of course he hasn't heard of this twit. But he has heard of Ishtar, and the term 'oppositio' isn't hard to figure out.

"I see," he says thoughtfully. "You hope to become a rival to Sailorvenus." It would explain why she looks similar to the senshi, too.

"I don't hope! I am her rival!" Ishtar haughtily tosses her hair. "And I'm the strongest and smartest of all the Oppositio Senshi. So it will be easy to defeat that girl!"

Well, maybe this time she'll maybe defeat her. Last time Venus just got lucky. But of course this human doesn't have to know that.
