It's a normal day for Aino Minako. Get up, get to the studio, warm up her voice, and sing. She stands behind the microphone, headset on, lost in the song while the background music plays

A very nervous-looking Mizuno Ami is hanging in the back of the crowd, watching Minako.
She wasn't aware Minako knew English at all. But stranger than that is that this Minako looks older. A different world? It explains her random arrival here.
{{ooc: iconfail. I only have one actual Ami icon for her. XD; So this is Ami, not Sailormercury.}}
Ami-chan is in England? Is something wrong? Minako finds herself distracted from whatever the producer is saying, watching Ami out of the corner of her eye.
No. She looks younger. A different Ami? Before long, Minako makes her excuses and finds her way over to the other girl.
"Ami-chan?" The younger girl looks nervous, she thinks. "Is everything alright?"
"Minako-chan?" Ami does look nervous. She glances around. Is everything all right? She's not sure--that depends on Minako. "How've you been?" She manages finally.
"We're just in the middle of recording," Minako tells Ami. "But did you need to talk to me?" Which is pretty much a signal that if this is senshi business somehow, she'll find a way to get them a moment alone.
"I didn't mean to come here," she replies. "So there's nothing." A polite nod, a little overly formal for friends, perhaps even for Ami. "I'm sorry to disturb you."
"Eh? You want to?" she says, looking surprised at that.
To go out with Minako, as she once had done with the other senshi...there's a little swell of hope in Ami's chest at that thought, and it translates into a bright smile. "Okay!"
Well, of course she wants to. It's been awhile since they've had the chance. Moving on with normal lives has been meant less opportunities to see each other for the senshi.
"Good. It won't be long." She flashes Ami a smile, and returns to the group standing around her endlessly flamboyant manager, and soon into the booth. A bit of the sound leaks out, letting Ami hear a few more numbers.
Ami nods slightly, and listens to the pop idol, swaying a little to the songs now and then.
She's listening to Aino Minako record. There's a small part of her that thinks of how Usagi would have once done anything to have this chance. There's a sad smile at the thought, and she dismisses it.
The session goes well and pretty smoothly, meaning a very happy Minako comes out of the booth, makes a few excuses and says her goodbyes for the day, and then finds Ami again.
"I don't know this area," she answers, "So you pick." There's a smile for the other girl. "Your new album; I really like it. When did you start recording in English?"
Too weird, such a younger alternate of her friend; almost like being friendly to a younger sister. Well, why not? The thought is amusing enough to make Minako have to hide a small smile.
"Ah, that was something new," she admits. "Manager-san thought it would be a good idea, after the Glitter Award. It will appeal to a broader audience."
"Mm. Here in England," Minako explained. "I was very happy to get it. After that, my manager thought it would be good for my career to do an album in English, now that my name is known here."
"Are you a doctor yet?" Minako asks next with a grin, which tacitly says that must have been Ami's future in Minako's world. Yet. It's probably not exactly bad news.
