The Mercury heading towards Kunzite at a quick pace, eyes wide, is still wrong if he has the presence of mind to notice it over his evident pain. Dark accents to the fuku, eyes dark and oddly glassy, voice lower and harsher by default, all add up to Dark Kingdom.
Yet somehow, perhaps it really is simply surprise, she makes her way to his side without hesitation, stopping only when she's next to him and kneels to reach him more easily.
It might suggest something about her world to notice her first guess as to what's put him in this state: "To be free of Metalia...?" She watches him with a serious expression, showing little evidence of the emotion she must be feeling to have moved so quickly.
She knows of Kunzite doing it. She'd performed the same ritual herself, once she'd realized the dangers of Metalia. She knows what happened to Nephrite when his stone was damaged by the blow Beryl forced him to give himself in some worlds. It's a good guess, as far as her experience goes.
His gaze lowers, and he lifts the other hand, both now pressing to that area. It feels like it should be a gaping hole, but there's nothing there but pain.
"She reached into my chest and destroyed by stone. But if it was destroyed, I wouldn't be here. It makes no sense."
That fool. She frowns, recognizing and disliking the name (with only perhaps one exception), but this isn't the time for that.
"I've seen something like that happen before," she relates. Many times, in fact, if she lets her mind drift to Econtra and the many denizens brought there who had claimed to be dead.
Mercury reaches for something as she speaks, which turns out to be a small glass phial of water. "Drink it," she instructs sharply as she thrusts it at him.
He does hand it back. "It feels some better," he concedes. "Where did you get such a thing?" The shitennou straightens a little; he does look like he feels better.
"If you don't know it, it must be. I don't recognize it, either." She frowns, more tensely alert to their surroundings now, straining for any sound or movement other than their own. After all, if he was injured by an enemy, it's foolish to assume he wasn't followed.
"Are you going to fight in that state?" Mercury's eyes flicker towards Kunzite. She gives him a dismissive look before glancing away. At least he seems to be right, as far as she can tell; she doesn't sense anything, and he'd definitely sense them before her anyway.

The shitennou draws up a little more and pushes his hand against his knee to straighten somewhat. His other hand remains at his chest.

"It has the power to heal some small things. It's easier than using my own energy." Always, even now, that obsession with energy in the Dark Kingdom.

There's another look to his surroundings. "I don't recognize this place...is it the nexus you spoke of?"

"It seems no one else is here," he says in a low tone. "Galaxia, and the others, I can't feel them either."
