My lil' punkin' is growin' up so darn fast
Victor is just starting to be able to put things into words. The other day I was leaning over to grab something and he saw the tattoos on my lower back. He pulled me down to the ground and started trying to wipe them off saying "I hep mama" (I help mama) which is what he says when he tries to help me clean the house. When I told him that they were supposed to be there, he started tracing them with his finger saying "Peeeeedy mama" (pretty mama.) I thought I was going to cry it was so darn sweet. And now every time he sees them (on me or anyone else) he says "Ooooooh peeeedy." I'm not sure the biker guy he said that to yesterday much appreciated it, but he laughed so ......
And then, last night when we were out for a walk, the little sweetie picked me a flower. He was so cute.
He saw a bunch of weeds in some grass and went running over to them. He pointed at them and flapped his arms the way he does when he gets excited. I told him they were weeds and he shook his head and said "No, peedy fow" (no, pretty flower) and then he leaned down and picked one. I thought that he had dropped it on the ground, but a few minutes later, he came running over to me and said "Dak eet" (take it) and handed me this rumpled little weed flower. It was so cute. He was so proud of himself. I just can't get over how quickly he is growing up. Every day he learns a handful of new words and at least one new thing to do. *Sigggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh* I knew he wouldn't be a baby forever, but I didn't expect it to go by THAT quickly:) Ah well, he's still my lil punkin'.
