A scary night
Last night I sat watching TV as more rioting and looting broke out in many parts of London.
Gangs of youths breaking into shops and stealing whatever they wanted knowing that the police wouldn't be able to stop them. Burning cars and buildings just for the sake of it. Generally running riot and causing chaos and devastation wherever they went. Vandalising and destroying anything and everything for no reason at all. Buildings burnt out and people made homeless, businesses destroyed. More and more pockets of this behaviour breaking out in lots of different areas.
I have to say, I felt scared. More so when I heard the sirens locally and then the police helicopter as trouble broke out in an area just a couple of miles from where I live.
Hundreds, possibly thousands, of young people just completely out of control. The police not really able to cope with it.
I'm dreading tonight.
