Bear with me while I think how I should begin . . .
Okay, I'll tell the story this way:
1. Last September/October, I lost my mobile phone. Now, while this was a nuisance it wasn't too inconvenient as I generally only use it for emergencies or to send the occasional text. I looked high and low for this phone many times over the months. I looked in all the obvious places as well as unlikely places but I couldn't find it anywhere.
2. I have a bedside clock which I keep just under my bed because it's ticking drives me nuts. All I have to do to get it is to reach down and pick it up - easy!
Now here's the strange bit. This morning I reached down for the clock in order to find out what time it was, (obviously), but instead of picking up the clock, what I found myself holding was my mobile phone!!! I was flabbergasted!
Under my bed is not the cleanest of places as I have difficulty doing housework and I'm afraid there's lot's of dust under there. The mobile phone was spotless, not a speck of dust to be seen on it. Also, as it was so easy to reach I would definitely have found it sooner.
My bedside clock, however, is nowhere to be found !
(And, no, I don't sleepwalk so that can't be the explanation)
