OK, so the day turned out to be pretty good after all.
After posting that blog, I decided to not let myself stay in my dorm dwelling over dark thoughts in my mind. I packed up my laptop and went and sat at a picnic table by Duck Pond. I got like 5 more pages written! Woot! It was quite productive. It even looked like it was going to continue to be so, until I got a certain phone call.
*ring*
Me: Hello?
Mom: What are you doing?
Me: Um, sitting outside writing, you?
Mom: We just got off the Parkway. Do you want to go wandering?
Me: Um, yeah!
So Mom and Shirley picked me up and we went wandering today! It was great fun. We went to Meat Camp. Middle of NOWHERE. But it was a pretty ride. We also went to Todd, which is a little nothing town but is pretty and touristy. We ate dinner in blowing rock, then I showed them the "End of ze World" video. Halarious. Go here--
http://www.funnyjunk.com/pages/world.htm It rocks.
Post that, I went up to the music building and practiced for a little while, then played Uno, then played with Nerf guns, then practiced some more, played with Nerf guns some more...you know, the usual. Great fun. Following that, I came home to update this lovely blog. I think I'm going to write some more now--my muse is calling me.
I need to take a day, a full, complete day, and just work on my book. No practicing, no video games, no reading. Just writing. That would be wonderful. Once I get started it just keeps going. I really like what I've written lately, too. Mary has been neglected, though. I just haven't been in the right frame of mine, but I guess that helps me focus on Kelvdon. I have too many irons in the fire, always.
Wow this was long! Thanks to everyone who read all of this.
By the way, I have to sing 16 bars of music for my audtion to the Fantasticks. Any ideas?
