PSU
So this week has been pretty busy. On Tuesday I left at 9:30 for PSU. I picked up Mike, and it took 2 hours to get to his house because of all the traffic. Then it took me another like 4 hours just to get to Penn State, and it should have only taken 3 from his house. Traffic was pretty bad, so I wouldn't advise anyone to use 80 to go anywhere west. We got here and unpacked, and Rachels was already here for an hour before we arrived. Mom, Aunt Trudie, Mike and I unpacked my stuff. Then we met up with Rachel and her parents all at the Nittany Lion Inn for dinner. The 3 of us had an Orientation Leaders meeting at 7 so we didn't stay at dinner very long. The meeting was stupid and we found out there was nothing to do for us all day Wednesday.
Then at night we went to Walmart to get a rug and some stuff. Then out to Cedarbrook we went for the first night of partying! It was Nate and Dave's old apartment. This year it is Dave and Riley and maybe another person, but for that night, nate was staying there too, because he couldn't move in to his apartment yet. It's cool because Nate's new apartment is right next door and they share a balcony so they took the divider off of the balcony. It's neat. And from Mike's apartment, they can yell back and forth on their balconies lol.
Wednesday was a busy, full day, too. When we woke up Rachel went out with her parents and Mike and I went out with Mom and Aunt Trudie. We went to Bellefonte, had lunch at the Grist Mill Tavern, which is the best restaurant around here, and then went to some little shops. Then we walked around downtown State College, bought some Penn State things, and i got a new skirt that says PSU. Then Mom and Aunt Trudie left to drive home, and I went to Walmart with Rachel. We got the rest of the things we needed, and then came back here, ate dinner, and finished setting up and organizing and decorating our room. IT RULES! It's the coolest room ever. I love it so much.
After all that, we got ready and went out to Penn Towers because Rachel's friend Jeff lives there. We met all his roommates and they seemed really cool. So we played Kings for a while. Then I was supposed to meet up with Mike at Cedarbrook again, but then me and him just ended up coming back to the dorm.
Yesterday we woke up early and I helped Mike and his mom move the stuff into his apartment. Brian was there moving his stuff in too. Then Mike, his mom, and I went to Hooters for a quick lunch before I had to meet up with Rach and do the Orientation Leader thing at McKean. There weren't many people moving in because the majority of them moved in today instead.
After that, we chilled, met up with Mike Brian and Ben for a free dinner at Pollock Commons. Then Mike hooked up my speakers, which kick ass, and removed the ugly lamp that was screwed in over the desk.
Rachels and I pregamed here for a little last night, then went over to Penn Towers again. We played a lot of drinking games like Kings again, Asshole, and some beer pong. Then I left to go see Mike's apartment all set up. I didn't stay there, though. I just left to come back to my dorm. I was here for a little while and then Rachel and Greg both called me to say they were gonna go to another party, so I went back to Penn Towers. We went to Canyon, but then just ended up going back to their apartment again. It was really fun.
Today was kinda boring, but we've been meeting some people that have recently moved in. Maybe tonight some of the girls will want to go out? Yay. Only a few more nights before classes start, though. O well!
