Valentine's Day

*looks out the window* It's snowing.........hard! Of course it would work out that the first real snow of the season would come on Valentine's Day. hehe.....that means I can go throw snow balls in the park area later. I feel sorry for the poor unsuspecting passerbys.......not! Yeah....as for this morning. You can see anything from my dorm windo but a lovely brick wall so I couldn't tell there was any snow. Naturally, I walk outside in my ballerina flats and realize that was a mistake when I am trying not to slip and split my head open from lack of traction. Sheesh....you gotta love those fashion shoes sometimes.

But.......a lovely little package came from home. It was packed with food!!!!!!! *hugs* There was also a wonderful box of cinnamon shortbread heartshaped cookies *has already eaten four* and a mug that says "Love". It is a little corny, I suppose, but I don't really care. I got presents on Valentines Day!...as well as getting to show my support for breast cancer with a lovely pink bracelet that was sent. I get to wear it because I actually bought and sent those little virtual gifts on facebook and those proceeds go towards breast cancer, so even if I didn't buy the bracelet, I have donated to the cause before.

This Valentine's Day is turning into one of the better ones I have had for awhile. I haven't had this much fun since I was in grade school. On Monday, I made had cookies at the student government office and made corny Valentine's. I have been eating those heart shaped candies every day for the last month (I know that might seem gross but I like how they tast, thank you very much!). Yesterday, I went to a Valentine's dinner that was held for the girls in my church. There was pasta, veggies, and lots of chocolate cake (which I didn't have) and ice cream (which I did). The best part was when someone threw a rock against the window (we're on the second story) and we go to see the guys attempting to serenade us. It was utterly corny and utterly sweet so I couldn't help but love it. Sometimes, I do just like to feel like a girl. They gave us each roses and brought their own chocolate cake (which I did have. very yummy!). Today I am going with two friends to see Music and Lyrics and afterwards (or perhaps before) to go for Japanese food. I refuse to sit in my dorm room sulking.

Okay, I have more to say on general stuff but I will rant about essays, general college stuff, eastern religions and the like later.

hearts, snow, valentine's day
