If you are from MC then please don't answer this anymore. Especially you, savon_heureux. This is for Biology, so just wait for the next school year. :D
1. TRUE. Or... True-ish? Pattern baldness occurs only in men, but women can get bald too. Just not as often. And it's usually in patches not in patterns.
2. FALSE. Very false. DDDD:
3. FALSE.
4. TRUE.
5. FALSE. Or... False-ish. I do believe the statistics change from year to year? There's a slightly higher percentage of living females right now but that's not necessarily an indicator. And trends tend to vary.
6. TRUE.
7. FALSE. WHAT? WHAT SORTA QUACK QUESTION IS THIS? WE CANNOT WILL BABIES TO BE MALE OR FEMALE. DDDD: // ALSO, GENETICALLY, IT WILL ALWAYS TAKE TWO TO TANGO IF THAT'S WHAT THIS AMBIGUOUSLY PHRASED QUESTION PERTAINS TO.
8. TRUE.
9. TRUE TRUE TRUE.
10. FALSE.
11. I'm not guessing and I don't know. It's not one of the commonly sex-linked disorders. If I were to hazard a guess of an answer, I'd say FALSE though.
12. I REFUSE TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION ON PRINCIPLE. But, yes, TRUE.
13. TRUE. With a side of false, please. 70% of the genetic make-up comes from the mother because mitochondrial DNA is inherited only maternally. However... each gamete with the haploid (N) number of chromosomes is required for the complete diploid (2N) chromosomal make-up of the child. So # of chromosomes = 50/50 but usually DNA = 70/30. There are a few exceptions to the maternal inheritance of mitochondrial DNA rule like fruit flies, mussels, etc.
14. TRUE. Or... True-ish, theoretically talents are inherited.
15. TRUE. In fact, only males can exhibit color blindness. Females are carriers but they do not suffer from the condition they may pass on to their children.
Well, according to the answer key (which I still find objectionable given that it is based on high school science), number 12 was supposed to be false. I really don't see why though--not that I'm against the principle of equality. *shrugs*
And number 7 was supposed to be false, too. It's funny what you pointed out (WE CANNOT WILL BABIES TO BE MALE OR FEMALE!!!!), though you were the only one that did. XDD The logic behind the question was that since a mother only has X's for sex chromosomes, then it would mean that the father determined the sex of the child, since he has either an X or a Y to give.
Dude. These question were trufax the vaguest things ever. Like some made me go, "Eh?".
Anyway, if in terms of strength constitution strength - men are build more muscular, thus stronger. If you're talking strength pain tolerance strength - women withstand childbirth, thus stronger. It's all relative. It depends how you approach the question.
Oh well. I only know my Punnett squares, so my knowledge isn't much. *shrugs* My squares told me that women can exhibit colorblindness--just not as often. And, well, Wikipedia says so?

P.S. Survey-taker is 18. If you need to know.

The female manifestation of color blindness, though, is new to me. Need to catch up on gene mapping discoveries, for seriously.
