Did the online appt maker for my apparent doctor that I -have- to go to since I have an HMO which apparently means it sucks just enough that I have to go to this doctor and he has to make a referral to someone else if I have to go see someone else

They have a medicine called metformin that's more for diabetic people.. it helps with the insulin resistance or whatever. Besides that, it'll help with the insulin issues so your body won't be, like, "IM HUNGRY" since from what I've read is what causes the weight gain since it tells your body that you are hungry.. and I'm hungry all the time. Only time I'm not hungry is when I stuff my face xP. It's basically a weight loss method for PCOS sufferers.. but only if you eat right and exercise. Eating right might be tricky but I'm active at work 24/7 so I don't worry about that much.
I have a friend on Facebook that has PCOS and she lost 90 pounds when she got on metformin after about a year or so. So it does work with hard work. Losing weight without help on PCOS is near impossible. Can be done but it's really hard.
I forgot to add that with the testostorone it adds heavy hair on your body.. like, adds a mustache (I have a slight one but it's only at the corners on my mouth and a blond hairs on my upper lip) and I have thick hair on the back of my legs that is dark. I have to buy the 10 dollar razors of 4 and each one lasts two shaves before I have to chunk it in the trash due to how clogged it gets. I once clogged up a drain at my old house from shaving my whole leg. My arm hair looks pretyt thick but it's blond so it's hard to notice in the right light.
Also, you typically get a lot of skin tags (check) and dark skin on the upper thighs and under the arms.. I hate wearing sleeveless shirts mainly for the skin tags and dark skin. it makes me look like I'm dirty xP that has something to do with the insulin stuff.
Well, I've only been told twice that I have slightly high blood pressure. I'm hoping he'll check it out and see it as more reasoning to get on metformin if I'm diagnosed again as PCOS.
Also if I do take the metformin, it increases my chances to get pregnant almost 100% so I'll HAVE to start taking birth control.. and estrostep is mainly supposed to help introduce estrogen to your ovaries so it'll produce estrogen again. It's supposed to take a year for it to start working though and I didn't last 3 months the last time in 2010 xP
I'll let you (or LJ.. which is basically you since you're the only one that reads my journal now lol) if I find out any other information lol <3 <3 <3

I get skin tags on my neck sometimes. I play with them until I can pull them off. I just got rid of one a couple of weeks ago. I know you mentioned that your condition makes you have testosterone. I think that hormone must increase as a person ages because I am constantly having to tweeze black whiskers off of my chin. Lovely. And I also have a moustash. I shave it off. It's not real dark, but it's noticeable. Ah, good times. So you aren't alone in the hair department, I'm right there with ya! ^_^
