i had jury duty today, it was a complete mindfuck. it was a murder trial in which the guy said he was going to shoot himself with his shotgun because he found out she was cheating on him and "accidentally" shot her instead. i was one of the first 30 jurors to sit on the bench. alas, i made a mockery of the system by saying A. that without evidence i already belived the defendant guilty of murder (in my mind it sounded too much like an episode of csi id already seen, that and how the fuck do you miss yourself with a shotgun)and B. i hear shit that isnt there. so i was let out at approx 9:50am and excused from all other cases that day. a very lucky break on my part.
