I am not far from the elevators. Sort of cocooned in blankets and overseeing things. I am hoping the rescue party is alright. Not much to do but trust them right now.
Thank you. ... I would appreciate the company Lucy-san.
I'll be there soon then. I might come a little loaded down with stuff for making tea though. We just have to trust them right now but I feel so helpless...
here it goes then!lemonshineSeptember 14 2008, 05:28:17 UTC
[She spots a familiar face surrounded by blankets and notes the palor of his feautures. She sighs a little bit before setting down the canister full of hot water and her small bag that was laden with tea bags.]
[Crow has known since practically day one that he is really sick. Staying out in the hurricane, coupled with his idiotic half-unconscious doodles of Drake of all things... Not making him feel better. Lucy is frankly a ray of sunshine and a relief to hear.]
I confess I have felt better. Come sit down. How are you holding up?
[Lucy smiles sadly at the question as she seats herself next to Crow. She places a small hand on her friends' forehead to check for a fever. She clicks her tongue a couple times before wondering where the other canisters she'd brought had ended up. One was full of cold water for drinking if tea wasn't an option for someone. For now though, she planned on dodging his question because she refused to cry.]
I can tell already you bonehead. Why didn't you say something sooner?
[Crow was burning. Despite the too-bright sheen of fever in his eyes, and the unhealthy pale sheen of his skin, he seemed lucid and calm. But he always seemed lucid and calm. He'd probably looked calm while waiting out for stragglers in the hurricane. He also looked a bit distracted, but his eerie glazed eyes focused on Lucy when she got close enough and he smiled gently, reassuringly.]
It would hold little relevance Lucy-san. I believe this is an illness that has been with me since long before I got here. Do not fret, I am probably much better off than I appear.
[Lies, but told with a completely straight face, voice not even wavering.]
I am glad you are keeping me company though. Waiting seems better with someone there to help pass the time.
[Lucy worried far too much about her friends for her own good sometimes as someone tapped on her shoulder. Looking up, she saw one of the other farmhands with the other canisters she'd either lost or left behind. She smiled warmly at them as saw an extra bag as well. It seemed laden with other supplies as Lucy hoped there was a cloth inside.]
Still, it's better to tell somebody if you're not feeling well. I could've stayed up near the elevator with you and helped out more. You really don't look that well at all. Just how long have you been sick?
[The extra supplies are laid at her feet before she starts to rumage through the second bag. Sure enough, a cloth is inside. She grabs the coldest of the cans, unscrews the lid and pours some of the water onto the cloth before placing it on Crow's forehead.]
But I'm gonna take good care of you so don't worry. You just tell me what you want done and I'll do it so you can relax.
[Crow smiles and leans back as Lucy fusses over him, closing his eyes briefly. She was a sweet girl. He could think of something for her to do to keep her mind off of things, especially things like people caught in hurricanes.]
I apologize Lucy-san. I have simply been very occupied. I could certainly use your help, however.
[Crow picked up a journal that wasn't of the magical variety, flipped it open to one of many lists he'd been working on in the last twenty-four hours.]
Could you double check to make sure we have all the supplies on this? We may not need them all if the storm breaks soon, but if it does not, we will need all of them.
