Samehada-san, I request you join me for tea. At your convenience.
Kazahana-san as well, a word in private when you have a spare moment. I hope medical is not overwhelmed with the recent attack.
Also, Kirin-kun, if you still desire the encyclopedia, entering the bookstore is the first step to acquiring it.
-Crow
dammit justice get back here,
-nephrite jade-,
-kirin-,

ttly a goodguy,
-kazahana-,

in dire need of painkillers,
long time coming,

[thanks to his arboreal tendencies, none of the traps around the camp have been triggered. Yet.]

He doesn't move when Kirin drops into the clearing a few feet away, and nor does he shift his arm from its position over his eyes.]
Kirin-san. You're lucky it's daylight.
[His tone is amused, and maybe there's a glint of teeth before he suddenly leaps forward into a crouch in one movement, the knife that had been concealed in his right sleeve embedding itself with a thunk into the tree-trunk just behind the intruder.]

That doesn't change as he half-turns away to yank the knife back out of the tree and throw it back in a smooth movement. He even avoids the temptation to 'miss' and hit something other than the ground next to Samehada's foot, so that's progress.]
Samehada.

He uses it to hook the pot off of the fire, setting it down on a flat rock before returning the knife to his pocket. There's a faint whiff of tea, the black kind.]
Have you got orders for me, Kirin-san? Or were you just looking for company?

Do you have another mission yet?
Reply
Maybe.
You could have asked that on the journals, Kirin-san.

[and public. He watches Samehada in return, until he's done adjusting the pot. It gives him time to formulate what he wants to ask.]
What about tomorrow?
Reply
[He's watching you, Kirin, even if he doesn't seem to be. Even if his attention is apparently fully fixed on pouring some tea from the pot into a small metal cup. No, he's not offering you any. You weren't invited, after all.]
Tomorrow, Kirin-san?
[Have a sharky grin and a lingering amused look over the rim of the cup as he sips some of the tea.]
Careful kid, you almost sound eager for my company.

You're better than Toushi in a fight. If you have other plans...

If I didn't know better, Kirin-san, I'd think that was a compliment.
[Samehada knows a poor attempt at persuasive flattery when he hears it, Itachi-lite, and the grin doesn't entirely disappear. Instead he picks up a stick, poking the embers of the fire casually. He's still holding the metal cup in his left hand and he takes another drink before replying. It hasn't escaped his attention that he's suddenly in demand.]
That depends what time you need me, kid. What's the mission?
