And Ryouma! and him brothering Hayate! Bloody heroics indeed!

And chocolate! Chocolate!

And Yuugao, you silly twit, no one thinks you did badly, you did well, and so be it!

Yay for the team saving each other's asses!

Too bad for the badguys all being *ded*.

Awesome fight scenes. I also liked Yuugao's insecurity afterwards- it kept her in character.

I look forward to the next chapter. :)

An exciting chapter! I enjoyed reading it very much! And I think I've read every single story that you guys have written on fanfiction.net that includes the words 'Hayate' or 'Yuugao' in the summary :P So yes, I'll be looking forward to an update. Have fun writing :)

^~^ Much love for your characterizations. Good action scenes, too. I really like how you portray Yuugao, how she loses confidence over the "little lapses in perfection". Makes her more real, and all.
Your Hayate is probably my favorite of all the ones I've read.
Many kudos for Ryouma and Shou for being really flipping cool.

Hurray! Yuugao and Hayate are our favorites, too (...which you can probably tell because they're the main characters) but we're glad you're enjoying them and the OCs (who would be incredibly flattered at your description).

Hey! I just finished reading all 6 chapters of this wonderful story and it's awesome! The way in which you portray Hayate and Yuugao is so believable and real. Even though their characters aren't developed very much in the manga/show, you've created backstories and lifestyles that suit them so well. Great job with that! Also, I completely love Izumo and Kotetsu's roles in Yuugao's life; they're just so funny and endearing! I can really picture them being gay though...hehe I think they'd be cute together :) Your other characters Ryouma and Shou are also wonderful additions to the Anbu universe and as I read, I constantly had to keep reminding myself that they aren't canon! So overall, your characterization skills left me in awe. Wonderful job so far and great action scenes! I can't wait until the next chapter comes out and I look forward to hopefully some more Hayate/Yuugao-centric scenes!

Wow, thanks! (Sorry for this late comment, but we've been busy with Chapter 7... We're thrilled to have won new readers, especially ones who like what we're doing. ^^;

Izumo and Kotetsu take reckless delight in being ambiguous. We hope you agree that they're cute together no matter what they're doing in their (separate) bedrooms. And they appear in the next chapter for your reading pleasure, though sadly Ryouma and Shou are no more than mentioned. They'll be turning up in force again later on!

As for canon... Well, we kinda tend to like our versions better. Maybe that's why we love minor characters so much. We can make up more stuff about then and no one can contradict us!
