Holy Moly!

So, Jen's Master Plan? Was Jen. I walk in from a hectic day to Tom meeting me at the door. Not so unusual (I'm so spoiled, it's great). So I walk around him to set my stuff down so I can hug him properly, and someone small, blonde, and curly-headed crosses my field of vision. I say, "hello." I turn, set my stuff down. Blink. Think, "you can't ship Elizabeth," turn back around and say "HELLO!!" and scoop my favorite 4 year old into a giant hug. At this point it dawns on me that I hear Andrew crying in the great room and I look up to see Jen's head poking around the corner with this "I gotcha!" grin on her face. It was fabulous.

Jen came to take charge. She sat me down and made me eat a snack. (It was 4pm. I've made myself an eating schedule: 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 10pm if I'm still up and around. Give or take 30min.) Then we went and purchased a glucometer. Which was a good idea. How long have I been saying, "I know I should get one, Daddy. I'll get to it."? Many months. Then we had dinner at Copeland's, which was yummy. And, we have everyone's leftovers in our fridge - bonus! Really, I had a great time. Andrew is talking so much! It was great to hug on him and Elizabeth. And Jen and Roger for that matter. And we just... got to spend time with them. It was great.

Anyway, I gotta go shower. My Katie-chan's having a rough weekend and I have coerced her into letting me treat her to Ren Faire. For today, I'm sticking to my food schedule. Tomorrow, I'm reading every piece of paper in with my new glucometer and figuring out what I'm doing.

blood sugar, glucometer, jen
