[/Rant Ahead: Be Warned]
This is such a pain.
Why is it that, whenever I get inspiration to do something, that leaves the INSTANT I give myself a deadline?
So I'm writing Serendipity Ch. 3 - my Leviathan's Claw fanfic, for those who care - the point where Yeager and the girls meet (his eventual adoptive daughters, Gauche and Droite...and they are adorable at this point XD), but I cannot seem to do it right...and I really, really need to because it's kind of an important point to note. There's literally NOTHING to even hint at when the girls get into the guild in the first place, and then Yeager's character is so crafty that I'm second-guessing everything I make him do.
The first three or four paragraphs are fine. That's because they're build-up and they're only Yeager's internal monologue reflecting and recounting on everything that happened in-between chapters 2 and 3.
THEN he reaches the orphanage, and it is write, rip apart, write some more, then SCRAP and we're back at square-one. I don't even know where to begin, and I promised myself I'd post it by - at the very latest - the first week of February. I still think I can do it, but it's a serious pain-and-a-half.
And honestly, it's not because of the story. The story itself, while a fun hobby and a good way to connect with people, is really just that - a hobby. This is about me, the Queen of Procrastination, actually sticking to a goal and completing it. I've already left several other fics hanging, and I really, really want to write this one. I really want to stick to something and accomplish it. That's what New Year's Resolutions are all about too, right? Setting goals and sticking to them.
Grrr~ Gauche, Droite, and Yeager - you three SUCK.
