So, when does stealing $29, someone else's driver's liscence, lip chap, and van key (which was not used to drive away the van, almost too bad, since the insurance might be better than the vehicle, in the long run), and a band-aid end up being worth it? Seriously.
In case ^ made no sense to you? There are three possible explanations 1) Someone stole my coin purse. 2) someone *accidentally* reached into my gym bag, pulled out my coin purse, then stuffed my bag behind the merchandise cage (it took me fifteen minutes to find it, and that area isn't big), 3) my bag spat out my coin purse, then went to hide.
Joke's on the thief (yeah, I'm not much counting reasons #2 or 3 as extremely plausible...). And me. On the thief, because they got only $29--the rest is only worth something to me. Joke on me --> need a new driver's liscence, need another key to the van (I'm using the spare), need more lip chap (I'm a habitual lip-biter/chewer), need another coin purse, need to not buy anything this month.
At least they left my notebook. (Which, ironically, had my paycheque--$127--hidden in the flap :p)
We read Byron today in Lit class. I *liked* Byron, even if he didn't really do anything important for Greece. And I got this really pretty fabric for Textiles (we're designing a skirt), and got a lot done. You aren't supposed to have a crappy day when you read Byron, and feel optomistic about making a skirt (which, for me? = very rare). You just aren't. Even if your last half an hour of sleep (before waking in the morning) was spent dreaming of police trying to catch you--for some crime you're innocent of--with water pistols. Even if someone who hasn't read a whole lot of my writing was encouraging and said they liked some of my work.
Weird (should) =/= bad. Good (should) =/= misleading.
*sulks*
But thank you God, anyway. Thanks for hinting that I shouldn't bring my debit card or mp3 player, and for seeing to it that they didn't take my whole gym bag (with my notebook and paycheque), and for making work slow-but-not-too-slow tonight. I didn't forget.
