So, I bought all these extra icons (not to mention the paid account), because I thought I'd have time to update like mad.
...
Well, no. Fortunately, they're paid for until June. So...maybe I'll make it worth the $17+? :P
Anyway. You know when you get really, really busy, and the only time you have left isn't spent on something useful - like writing, or finishing up a friend's christmas present - but on...really, *really* bad fanfic that makes you laugh/cry? Yeah. That's kicked in. So far, the highlights are from a Roswell fic, taking place on Antar (a whole other planet, for the uninitiated, which DOESN'T HAVE INTERNET). Consider: Liz yelling "beeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaatch!!!111" at Maria, and searching "Prince Max Evans" (not Zan, because that would VAGUELY RESEMBLE CANON O_o) on the internet (*.......*), and finding out that he is "very compassionate about animals" (because that's key, yo).
Oh. And Michael and Max greeting each other with a "yo", and calling each other "homies". Because...they're disposed royalty, and it's ghetto, man.
*cough*
Right.
For those of you who don't care about any of that...
I
updated "Fast as I Can" (told you I was writing!), and I'm half(ish)-done the next chapter for ItM. If Miko and Krista can stop flirting thereby breaking Dejah's brain, and a little of mine, because - who knew, and getting all off track.
My Cold War unit test was today. The morning after I had had about 6 hours of sleep. Because that's fun. And so is getting up at 6am every morning! I might be withdrawing from French 12 next semester - I just *don't* like this whole...early-early morning thing. Even if I might end up driving in the mornings.
Speaking of driving...my road test is Thursday O_o And Bernie taught me to parallel park wrong, so I re-learned it in the rain, at night, in a blackout-ed neighbourhood, in fifteen minutes, on Sunday night. Yay.
I have a job! Well...for this month, and maybe longer, if I don't start working at Tim Hortons. (But one thing at a time.) I'm baby-sitting for the neighbours 2 days a week, and getting $40 a week for my trouble. So, yay for college money (which I applied for, and ack nerves, even if it's a community college that requires a way lower GPA than I have ever even *approached* in my life). And...I'm tutoring again tonight, so that also means money. Plus, I finally applied at Tim Hortons again, because the restaurant ate my first application, and I might actually get that job. I've talked to the manager (on the phone, and before my second application....it's a long story), and my neighbour (the one I'm baby-sitting for) has offered to put a good word in for me (through...someone else she knows. But! Connections. Or something.).
There was a basketball tournament Thurs-Sat, which the team won. And I found out I've been tallying the field goal attemps all wrong, but the rest of the stats are all up-to-date, and I think I'm actually getting pretty good at this. Anyway, there's a game tonight (in Maple Ridge), tomorrow (Glen), and Friday (somewhere, can't remember). Then possibly another tournament. Apparently, January's busy :P
Now, this update is getting long, so I'm shutting up. Maybe, this way, I'll be able to update more and fill up your flist! use some of these icons.
