Fait accompli! RIP "Fast as I Can": 08/2005-11/2008, 81 pages, 29,000+ words. Um, yeah, that's an average of about 25 words a day. Shush. The point is? Done. Except for that pesky sequel that I caved on writing :P

I MUST KNOW what is going on with the apparent engagement. I did not expect this.

Haha, it'll definitely come up in the sequel (IYC)--when I finally decided to put that picture in is about when I knew IYC would be inevitable. This is very much Zekk's story (if only because it's from his POV), but it gets a little more Jaina-centred in IYC. And the ring will be explained. I even hint a bit at it in the 'soundtrack' ;)

Aww, Peckhum. He’s so fantastic.

Thanks! I didn't expect to enjoy writing him as I did, so he gets even a bit bigger of a role in the sequel, which should bring some laughs *g*

Plus, I’m completely enamoured of the thought of Peckhum and Jaina sitting down and discussing Zekk’s future while he’s not around. It’s oddly perfect.

I've always loved the idea that Jaina and Peckhum are closer than we saw in canon; and especially in FaIC, hopefully there were hints that Jaina was getting Peckhum's help with things, especially when they first met :)

Darn it, Zekk! It’s probably Jacen or something.

Haha, or Anakin, or Kyp, or Han, or Luke, or...Jaina knows a lot of guys who could have been laughing in the background. Even Jag, if things ended amicably. Does Zekk think of this? Of course not *facepalm* :P

I love how Jaina has switched places with Zekk. She got him into space, but it’s almost as if she had to take his place to do it. She’s stuck on Coruscant and he’s moved on. I’d probably be a little bummed about the ending if I didn’t know there would be a sequel, but I do think it fits the story.

Thanks so much! That's very much what I was aiming for; and although it's not really a traditional happy ending, I think it's pretty inevitable that they end up together...so it was never an unhappy ending to me. Zekk had to push himself forward, and Jaina had to slow down; they'll meet up again soon :)

That being said, I definitely look forward to Jaina having to find Zekk and then try to convince him to see things her way

Weeelll...we'll see how it goes ;\
