writing shtuff
So...I had a paper due today. And it was for anthropology, which meant it was mostly just a matter of writing it, so of course my procrastinating!side just took it and ran. So...I got about five hours of sleep last night (technically, this morning). I'm not tired-tired, but sleepiness is definitely scritching at the back of my eyes. I can't even curse the paper, though, because I had a long weekend and plenty of time to write this paper (which, in hard-writing total time, probably took about two hours). So. I just get to be annoyed at myself :P I finished it an hour before I had to catch the bus, though, and managed to edit it and everything, so it should be okay.
Oh, but, hey--in anthro, we finally got to the stuff I *really* wanted to learn, and talked about altered states of consciousness/their purpose in religion/how they are achieved, etc. And that (and reading some of Wade Davis' The Snake and the Rainbow) reminded me of Healer's Price, so I think I'll still be able to write that, when I get to it. Yay :)
In more reader-relevant news, ItM's next chapter is finished, so I just have to type/edit/post it. I'm hoping to have that all finished by tomorrow at the latest, but if I don't end up hitting the sack early tonight, I'll try to update sooner (not that anyone reads on Fridays, but...:p). I can't (can't, can't, can't, can't) write action, so I ended up just sort of blazing through, and not even bothering to try to make it better. I can't write action. So it's a character-oriented action chapter. Boo :P
EDIT: wtf? JCF has seasonal icons--in this case Valentine's Day ones. And they have...a Lee/Dee icon. Just. Who made it? I mean, of *all* the couples on BSG. The fakest pairing no one likes, the pairing with *rhyming names* O_o Why not, say, Helo/Athena? Even Kara/Anders makes about a billion times more sense than Lee/Dee so omgwhy? *facepalm*
