Last night was interesting. I finished up with work, and decided to take the bus downtown to hang out. I got some gelato (yummy) and claimed one of the comfy chairs at Starbucks to sit and read my book for an hour or so. I haven't made time to sit and read (other than riding the bus to campus) in a long time. It was nice. Then I met a couple of friends at Harry's for dinner. I love Harry's, but I think I am forced to accept that they're kind of overpriced as a dinner place. The lunch menu is much more reasonable. Dinner was nice anyway, though. Then I walked over to Stubby's for Theology on Tap. They had a guest speaker who had done a lot of missionary work in the Congo. He was in town to give a talk, and was invited to join the ToT discussion. He spoke very softly though and I couldn't hear a damn thing he said over the background of the bar. He seemed to be expecting questions about his talk also, which I hadn't attended. So that was a bit blah, but it's always nice to get out and be around people. Kres and Danielle couldn't make it though, so I had to ask around for a ride home.
David was nice enough to oblige me, and since he currently works at the same O2B kids where I used to work we had a lovely talk about all of our mutual acquaintances. I feel horrible though, I forgot my leftover shrimp creole in his car. I don't have any way of contacting him, so I really hope he notices it before it has a chance to get smelly.
