Aikido!
So during my freshman and sophomore years of college I was involved in something called the Gator Bujutsu club. We did weapons practice, aikido, and some hand to hand stuff. It was a lot of fun, and some of the connections I made through the club helped me out a lot. Our instructor was a graduate student though, and once he graduated he moved on and the club kind of fell apart.
Then Dustin moved to Gainesville and I never really looked into doing any more UF clubs because he wouldn't have been able to go with me. Now that him and I are separated, I started looking for something similar and found the Aikido/Butokukan club. I went to the first meeting Sunday afternoon, and it was great. We worked on take downs and rolls and stepping and falling...my legs are so sore from all the falling and getting up. And the kneeling. But I'm going again tonight for weapon's practice anyway...lol. I haven't used my bokken in years, but I wont have time to go home and get it before practice starts so I'll have to borrow one. Oh well.
