How appropriate considering I spent the day down at Gay Pride. It was actually a lot of fun! Gram, her girlfriend and I went to a church service, and it was really nice. I love Rev. Brent Hawkes, he's so funny and sweet. And the soloists all were amazing. This one woman did 'What a Wonderful World', an di swear to God..you had to be there I guess, but it was...wild to me. It had been overcast and kinda chilly, and JUSt as she hits this massive high note...the sun came out. It was like, movie timing. I had never seen anything quite like that before.
The rest was mostly walking around, but it was cool. We saw some performers use karate moves set to music, had a hot dog, saw all the leather wearing bears walking around. why is it all the older hairy guys are the ones in thongs and revealing leather? It's never a really hot YOUNG gay guy flaunting his stuff.
So anyway, we didn't catch the parade, we were kinda tired and it would be PACKED, so we came home instead. I watched some of MuchMusic covering it. God, they are cheesy fucks. 'You might be a lesbian if...you get excited about a coupon to a hardware store!' 'You might be gay if...you are a male and attracted to Usher!' Oy.
