I'M GOING TO FREAKING MEET MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK IN CHICAGO!!!
yeah, so i thought i should throw that out there before i mention anything that attempts to be even remotely as important.
this girl in my math class and i always gush about concerts and she found out today that mcs is having a presale for the 2006 tour and if you buy them now you can meet the band and she freaking bought me a ticket! so i'm pretty much stoked.
and i haven't decided about yellowcard yet. i would absolutely love to see them but i have lab the night they're coming, so i'm not sure if it's worth rushing downtown and missing the opening act and paying 25 bucks to see them for just an hour. we'll see....
well anyways, i'm back in town. and i'm not entirely sure how i feel about that. it's nice to not have anything to do and have a month to just chill, but i miss northwestern and chicago so much. oh well, i guess it's good that i pretty much love my life and where it's going. and, to make today an even better day i found out my grades and despite all the worrying i got all A's which is amazing. so yeah, it's been a good day.
hmm my trip home was slightly eventful. i left my room at 12 pm thursday and got home around that time friday. a 24 hour trip. yeah...so i got onto my plane home and it had just started snowing, but i figured the only problem i could have would be from pittsburgh to morgantown. turns out, we sat on the runway for SEVEN hours. yes, that's right, seven. first we had to wait for deicing, then for the runway to clear. then it had been too long and had to be deiced again, except it took over an hour to get back to the gate, then in line for deicing, got that done, headed back to the runway to wait but oh no, more deicing and waiting and waiting and deicing and waiting. it was ridIculous. oh and it was soo boring on the plane. i was sitting next to this 600 pound guy who took up a seat and a half and he was squeezing this 80 year old woman on the other side to death. he eventually moved which was life-saving, but let me telly you, it was pretty cramped. and so i eventually got to pittsburgh at 1130 pm. and yeah, my flight to morgantown had taken off 6 hours earlier. so i had to stay in a hotel there, which was an adventure in itself. everything was booked by that point (i'm not really sure what was so exciting that everyone wanted to be at pittsburgh airport for) but i ended up staying at a super 8...kind of sketch i know. i had to take a random shuttle 20 miles out there and then the guy at the desk knew my name for some reason...even when i came back later to ask about the shuttle for the next day...sorta creepy. and so yeah i also had nothing to eat/sleep in/do so i turned on the heat really high, punched some buttons on the tv to get it to turn on (though it never did turn off again) ate some pretzels from the plane, and went to bed. woke up like 5 hours later to go back to the airport. finally got on a plane to morgantown when it all started again. waiting and deicing and waiting and more waiting. i would love to never hear the word deice again....
i met some guys on there who were from espn filming the wvu/duquesne game. so that was semi exciting.
but
i finally got home. and it felt good to be off a plane.
and now i've been here for a few days. and i haven't really done much other than spend time with the family. but it's been really relaxing. and i think i've kind of been avoiding the outside world, i'm not entirely sure why. but i'll have to start interacting with the rest of morgantown again.
i really do miss chicago. all of a sudden the 3 weeks doesn't seem too short.
but gosh, it's so nice to just relaxxxx.....
