Took of this morning for Coffee Culture to meet
hippybngstockng. I thought, on a couple occasions, that the hills might just do me in. I actually got nauseous after riding on Lincoln. At first I thought, this must be how runners feel when they throw up during a race, then I thought, OMG...could I be having a heart attack? People that have heart attacks often throw up! In my best impression of a hypochondriac, I drew my attention to my left arm. No, no pain. Ok, must be the runner thing. Regardless it was quite unpleasant and I wasn't happy about how out of shape I've become.
Coffee Culture was nice. I'd not been there before. As usual, for me anyway, conversation flows easily with
hippybngstockng. I have really been enjoying my time with her. We're loosely planning on a weekly ride which usually turns into marathon coffee clutches. I like it!
Riding Uptown and back I ducked through a wooded path that connects Lexington and University. It's really beautiful back there. I love little green spaces that make you think you're totally in the middle of the woods even though about 200 feet on the other side of the trees are houses and people. The trail there and back is not difficult to ride and I appreciate that.
Then there was another trail I wanted to explore. One that heads down behind some houses near my subdivision. It turned me around in my head and I ended up coming out where we deposit the canoes for canoeing the grand. At least I knew where I was then and was able to head for home. I'm glad I explored it but now I don't have to go that way again as I see it takes me away from anywhere I want to go.
Now it seems I'm heading off to the show! Maybe I'll head into the gym tonight.
