Exciting new discovery! GELATO!
After taking in lunch at Green Mango with knotty_mark for his birthday (great to see you...thanks for the chat) Steve and I met up with nobodyhere for dinner. We had planned to hit Sushi Island as mycrazyhair suggested it for its veggie options but when we got there it was WAY too hot. We decided to meander down the street to see what else was around. We chose another sushi restaurant which was surprisingly wonderful! Steve and I are partial to Echo Sushi but I have to say this was a strong second for me.
Afterward, K suggested gelato! I've never had it before although a friend back home invited me out for it once. HOLY ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THE UNIVERSE BATMAN!! That shit is AMAZING!! No, seriously, SO much better than ice cream. It was a taste explosion! Each flavor was rich with it. YAY!! I love it! I must have more!
We then began walking back toward the TTC but took a slight detour through Kensington market. Even though it was closed I still enjoyed it. It's my favorite little neighborhood in Toronto. If I owned a house here I would want it to be there. I dig it the most.
Hugs goodbye and the realization that I won't see K again until we're moving into the house *eep!* and we were on our way home. What a lovely dinner and walk. I had a great time. Thanks K!
