Games this past week consisted of Pirates Cove. ARRRGGGHHHH! Steve bought it for me the last visit and we got our feet wet this visit with the stuffed animals as adversaries. With the addition of our stuffed friends there were four of us. We slowly plodded through the directions and had a pretty decent game. Then came the real test. Games night with human beings!
Missy Marlowe Pants ended up winning but we think that's because she got lucky and didn't have to fight very often. The object of the game is to keep your ship in top working condition and sail around to different islands plundering them for the treasures that rest there. If you happen to go to an island that another player chooses you have to fight them for the booty. You gain Fame Points in various ways and the one with the most fame points at the end wins. I think right before the end of the game I had 3. *g* Ya, I sucked.
The game became pretty competitive with my friends screwing each other over at every turn. I even got in the "screw over" fun when I sicked the Royal Navy on a guy twice! The second time didn't take but the first time was fun. I'll be bringing the game up North with me if anyone is interested in checking it out.
