Excellent! Thought Mamoru as he slammed the door to his apartment again. I ask her a question and she says I'm pushing her! What the hell?! Opening his room door with such force that it slammed into the wall, he stalked into his room and flung himself into a chair. Before he knew what was happening, he closed his eyes and visualized himself in the Tuxedo. In a flash he felt it form around his body, and he stood up. With a flick of his cape, he dropped from the window, grabbing a streetlamp and swinging to the next one.

At least something felt good. The wind whistled through his hair, and he let his mind go blank, trusting his instincts to keep his body moving. Before he knew it, he was staring at a familiar sight, the outside of Rosie's house. Not knowing how he'd gotten there, he hung upside down from the streetlamp before dropping silently to the ground. Not bothering to get rid of the Tuxedo, he walked into a nearby alley, satinding half in shadow, watching the indistinct shapes moving behind her curtains. Memories rushed into his mind, how he'd been hurting over something he couldn't remember. And she'd comforted him. Their first kiss in that diner. The strange date as they watched Zhilbar and the alien dragon fight. The day she'd told him she didn't love him, that there were things he had to do, things that this Tuxedo was related to. Shaking off the memories, he bounced from wall to wall, upwards, until he was standing on the roof of one of the apartment buildings. He leapt off the edge, and used his cape to glide to another streetlamp, swinging to the next one.

Moving steadily back to his own apartment, he saw three people satding in the shadows, in another alley. Well, two were standing, one was on the floor in between them.
"P..please, I...I have a family." The man on the floor whimpered.
"Yeah?" Jeered one of the thugs, "Well, so do I, and thanks to you, they ain't gonna go hungry tonight." He pulled something out of his coat, something that gleamed coldly, and pointed it at the man's head. "Now gimme all yer money." With a silent prayer of thanks, for something to vent his emotions on, he let fly a single rose. It quivered in the ground at the thugs' feet.
"Nice night for mugging huh?" He said calmly. The two thugs laughed.
"Come back from the ball? Trying to play hero?" Tuxedo Mask's cane his the man in the solar plexus, eliciting a satifactory groan. Quick as a flash, Mamoru was in front of the second thug, he droped to his knees and with a wide, sweeping kick, knocked the villiain off his feet. The second thug was now back up, and steadied a gun at Mamoru. The deafening blast echoed through the alleyway, and Mamoru felt the bullet pass through his shoulder. Then another shot rang out and a searing white pain exploded in his side. Gasping for breath, he let loose a storm of roses at his attacker, who very soon resembled a pincushion. Calling his cane to his hand, he used its knobbed end and swung it in a vicious arc at the other thug who had risen up again. It caught the man on the temple and he crumpled to the ground. With a tiny nod to the startled victim, he jumped and grabbed a streetlamp, swinging himself forwards again.

In a few swings, he'd reached his apartment. Dropping through the still open window, he fell to the floor, gasping for breath. With a wave of his hand, the Tuxedo, Domino Mask, and Cane vanished. Probing his wounds, he found the shot through his shoulder had gone clean through, but the bullet in his side had broken two ribs, and was still inside. And now he was bleeding, badly. Oh shit. To die from a stupid mugging. Shit. With a great effort, he reached for his phone, but he dropped back to the ground instantly. To weak to move, he closed his eyes. Sorry Rosie...sorry... Were his last thoughts as a door slammed shut in his skull and he fell into blackness.
