Friday (July 21, 06)
After classes, I finally went to the Mall of Asia. I just had to see what all the hype was about. We had dinner at UCC. I didn't really want to eat there, why eat in a restaurant that was already available near our house? (There was one branch in The Fort) I wanted to try something different, something that could only be found in the Mall of Asia and not anywhere else. That way, our visit could have been more relevant. But both my mom and my brother were just too tired to continue walking so Hello UCC, goodbye restaurant-only-unique-to-Mall-of-Asia. Don't get me wrong, I love UCC, it's just I have this thing about experiencing my favourites so frequently that they lose their 'magic' and thus become not-very-special to me anymore. I didn't want to get tired of UCC. Heck, no way. Ok, back to Mall of Asia. It's a BIG mall. Or maybe it just looks enormous because of its layout (which I didn't really like). The mall's layout made it quite confusing to navigate. It was as if the buildings were Lego blocks with which the architect just haphazardly merged together.
The stores were also huge and this was a good thing. The Penshopppe they had was the biggest branch I've seen so far. Their Fully Booked was pretty dissapointing. Had a hard time locating it and when I finally spotted it, I let out a : "Huh? That's it?!" It was smaaallll.
I didn't leave Mall of Asia empty. I bought a new pair of Chucks White with a butterfly design) XD
I wanted to explore more but my mom and Ernesson wanted to go home already.
Saturday (July 22, 06)
Alvin, Daphne, Julie, Ivan Caw, Ivan Hector, Bryan, and I went to Rockwell to watch Pirates of the Carribean 2. Alvin, Bryan and I went earlier and got there by 5. We then proceeded to Fully Bookked and browsed for an hour whilst waiting for everyone else to arrive. Once everyone (save for Daph) arrived, we went to Burgoo for a really quick but sadly not quick enough dinner. We made it to the start of the movie but missed the trailers No Spiderman 3 trailer for us that night :(
I've been hearing mixed reviews about POC from everyone so I was preparing myself not to expect the a great movie. But the movie turned out to be an awesome one. Johnny Depp never fails to impress me.
"Oh bugger" is currently my favourite experssion. That and "I've got a jar o' diiirt, I've got a jar o' diiiirt and guess what's inside it...!" Hahahaha
Sunday (July 23, 06)
Had dance class today with cousins and my aunt. Learned 4 songs, one after the other, one of them being the Pinoy Big Brother Theme song ^ ^; My aunt wanted to start on social dancing but me and my cousins couldn't take it any longer (we've been reduced to exhausted and wheezing beings slumped on the wall after 3 hours). Funny, I didn't feel that tired during our last session....I hope I do better on our next.
Monday (July 24, 06)
Classses are suspended, but the Manny V Pangilinan Center for Student Leadership Inaguration and Blessing pushes through! Today, I braved the
stormy weather to attend the said occasion. Most of the students were stuck at the very back part of the crowd since all the important people (Mr. Pangilinana, Fr. Nebres, Dr. CGonzalez-Intal, Dr. Cuyegkeng, etc) had the best positions (aka right-up-front) during the event. When we (Daphne, Lippy, Mic, Elaine, Lorraine, Angel, Charles, Michael and I) arrived at the second floor (Celadon Room), they've already finished with the blessing. Oh well.
EDIT: I've just reread this entry. TYPOS GALORE!!! So this is what happens when I rush an entry. I feel so ashamed.
