Rambling January Day 15

Jan 15, 2014 22:17

For today, xandutch went with: "It just occurred to me that I would be interested to know how many pieces of Marvel related clothing you own, and what they all are. Favourites, stories behind them, etc."

Okay, so I'm going to split this up into clothing types. And I have pictures. Lots of pictures.

I debated on putting photos for the underwear up, and then I figured no one actually wanted to see my undies. However, for the sake of completion, I have three (different) Hulk boxers, one Iron Man, one Wolverine and one general Marvel. Ooh, except, I did leave the photo of the general Marvel one.

Basically because I find it hilarious that I own a pair of underwear that has Thor declaring "For Asgard... and Justice!" slap bang in the middle of the crotch ::grin::

So, I pulled the t-shirts and hoodies out of the wardrobe and ended up with this on my bed:

That's not even everything. At one point I was beginning to regret deciding to take photos of everything because my camera nearly started hating me.

Right, so, is everyone sitting comfortably? Then we can begin...

Jackets and Hoodies

SHIELD jacket/hoodie:

Avengers baseball jacket:

SHIELD baseball jacket:

They had this in multiple colours, including purple. I'm still tempted to go for the purple one, as well.

Magneto jacket/hoodie:

Quite possibly the most awesome present of awesomeness ever given to me. I got it for Christmas last year off temaris. This was the item of clothing that prompted the following set of tweets:

Arc reactor hoodie:

SHIELD hoodie:

Lounge Pants

Iron Man lounge pants:

Thor lounge pants:

Captain America lounge pants:

Hulk lounge pants:

More Iron Man lounge pants:

Even more Iron Man lounge pants:

(I'm getting a little disturbed about how often I can wear Tony Stark across my arse, if I'm being honest...)

More Hulk lounge pants:

(Ignore the decree of 'buff.' It lies. I am the anti-buff. I am buffless. I am Vampire the Buff Slayer. I am decidedly lacking in buff.)

General Marvel lounge pants:

(Ooh, you don't want to know how I just spelled Marvel. Wow, Claire. Because reading makes you spell good...)

More general Marvel lounge pants:

(Not entirely sure why Hulk's doing giant-fist-of-RAGE across the pants. Maybe he saw how many other pairs I had.)

Yet more general Marvel lounge pants:

Thereby meaning I can wear a pair a day and rotate through four pairs on Sunday. It's a day of rest and multiple lounge pants!

T-Shirts

X-Men:

Because he was!

SHIELD:

Phil Coulson:

This one and the one above it, I got because I walked into Forbidden Planet and one of the guys who works there held out Previews and the conversation went like this:

Glenn: Need to show you something.
Claire: Oh god, this is going to cost me money isn't it?
Glenn: Coulson t-shirts!
Claire: Shiny!
Glenn: You want?
Claire: Duh!
Glenn: Though so. Have ordered.

Scarily, that's how a lot of my conversations in Forbidden Planet tend to go.

Awesomely adorable shirt of awesomeness was a birthday present from hils. Cutest Coulson ever *\o/*

Hawkeye:

Iron Man:

(Even though I really, really don't ::grin::)

Jeez, I have a lot of Iron Man t-shirts for not liking Tony Stark that much...

Captain America:

Deadpool:

Captain Britain:

Avengers:

General Marvel:

Sweatshirts

Captain America sweatshirt:

Robes

These are all the fault of alyse. She cruelly tweeted a link to me, telling me that Argos had their character bathrobes in their sale. The day after, I was picking these up from the Newcastle store. The only Marvel one I didn't get was Spiderman because not even in a sale does Claire do Peter Parker.

Wolverine bathrobe:

If anyone claims that I put this one, and then went and got the dinner knives out of the kitchen to stick between my fingers, then they're wrong. Wrong! (Or, they were looking in my kitchen window the day I got this.)

Captain America bathrobe:

Hulk bathrobe:

Onesies

Hulk Onesie:

Yes, I have put this on and pretended to smash. No, I'm not even slightly ashamed of this.

PJs

This is where I get to say I slept with Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. Which is a pity, because they're probably the last two of the Avengers I would sleep with> Actually, depends on the universe, I guess. For 616 Hank Pym would be the last one ::shudders:: For the MCU, I'd totally sleep with Steve because he's like a Labrador puppy. Except, that implies that I want to sleep with a Labrador puppy and, jesus, I just hit a scary bestiality place without even trying. Yay, brain! I'd sleep with Tony if he brought Pepper. And then I'd send him our for pizza while she and I got on with things. And by 'things' I mean 'sex'. Just in case you weren't sure on that one.

Socks

I'm not entirely sure about the look on Hulk's face on the far right sock. Maybe Cap just said something mean to him. Also, ignore the size difference in there. Three of them came in a pack, but are about 3 sizes too big for me. Seriously, the ankle is, like, half way up my leg.

Not Yet Mine, But They Will Be

Also known as 'the stuff currently on order, but not at my house yet':

General Marvel boxers:

Captain America boxers:

Hawkeye boxers:

Yes, there are some other people on there, but who cares about them when I get to have Clint Barton across my arse *\o/*

Coulson Lives T-shirt:

SHIELD thermal shirt:

So, the grand total is:

Jackets and Hoodies - 6
Lounge Pants - 10
T-Shirts - 38
Sweatshirts - 1
Robes - 3
Onesies - 1
PJs - 1
Socks - 8
Underwear - 6
Not Yet Mine, But They Will Be - 5

Making a total of 79 items of Marvel-related clothing.

Which is way less than it could be, so that totally means I can buy more without feeling guilty. Er, not that I feel guilty, mind, but you know...
