And I think to myself, "Hey, since I'm here and I'm not going to be doing any sort of work for another 45 min, and I have this computer with internet at my disposal, I should check up on my lost Livejoural friends."
And thats exactly what I did.
So now that I did that, I have to find something else to do for the next 35 min, because I only look at the first page of my friends' updates (because I just don't want to read that much). And also becaus if I were to look at all the updates since I wrote in here the time before last, it would probably take me a good 5 days to read it all. So, needless to say I'm not up for it now.
Anyway, I'm at my new job in Delphi. Yes, they filed a Chapter 11, but as of right now (and in the future too I believe) it doesn't affect my job. What I do is check tests and machines hourly and if there's any problems with them, I usually just shut them down and write a little sticky note saying what happened at what time, with how many cycles the test went through, and put it on the technicians computer so they can see it in the morning/next shift. It's a fairly easy job, and if I get my hourly rounds done before the next round comes along at the top of the hour (which after the first couple rounds I usually get it done in a half hour - give or take) then I have the rest of the time to do whatever the hell I want...within reason. So I can do homework (MAJOR plus for this job), go online, read, (if I had a laptop) watch movies. All sorts of stuff really. Though I did take a $2 pay cut coming here from my last job, I really wasn't happy with my photography job, and I was getting pretty fed up with my boss. So the money being lower is really the only downside to me working here.
Besides, I plan on getting a degree in, or geared toward Automotive Design anyway. And how good would working at Delphi look on my resume? Even if its bankrupt, it still looks good. Trust me.
Well I should wrap this up. Maybe now that I will have this free time during work and the internet availibility, perhaps you, my friends will see more of me. I am not wiped off the face of this planet, I was just busy with my busy life (read: g/f and video games). Until then...
