I’ve just finished reading it the other day, I know I’m behind in my reading-damn college keeps me to busy to read for simple pleasure-anyways I must say I am a bit surprised with what J.K. Rowlings is doing with the whole Dumbledore/Snape thing.

I’ve peaked around at some HP forums and contrary to what some fans believe I think Snape really did kill Dumbledore-but that doesn’t necessarily make him evil.  I don’t know if Rowlings is going to have Snape be evil or good. At this point it could go either way-Dumbledore could have known that he was weak and could do no more good, and that Snape killing him would certainly keep him safe from Voldermort suspecting anything.

Or it could be that Snape really is truly evil and Dumbledore was fooled this whole time. OF course it seems out of character for Dumbledore to be wrong about something like this-but in the early part of the book he did say that he has made some mistakes in his life and that he has found that the mistakes he has made has usually been pretty disastrous-so that could be Rowlings way of foreshadowing Dumbledore misplace trust in Snape.

Personally I think Snape is evil. Of course I usually prefer villains. You can not have a good story without a good villain. But Snape would still be rather delicious either good or evil. A good Snape-being a double agent and all is fairly brave and I do like my heros brave and complex and Snape is both. Either way I think Allan Rickman is hot and can not wait to see more of him.
