fingers intertwined, the cool sea breeze salty, lingering in the air. swish, waves hit golden shores, washing away footprints you leave in the sand, erasing every trace of your path into the cerulean ocean. strolling slowly, your hand tangles with his, a sweet silence unwavering. the slightly cold water brushes against both of your feet, wind blowing across your faces. you stretch out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind his ear and he smiles back meekly, sunlight reflecting onto his hair and you think he’s an angel, shining so bright.
cupping his cheeks, you lean in to place a feather-light kiss on his pastel lips, but you can’t get enough, you can never get enough of his sweetness, the way his soft lips are against yours is just so endearing. you gently nibble and suck on his bottom lip, pulling him closer to you, pushing your tongue into his warm cavern. arms slide around slim waists, tongues engaging in a passionate battle, the red sunset glow echoing the vehement intensity of your kiss. a crimson flush appears, his cheeks staining pink. breaths quicken, and your heated kiss slowly dies down into a simple act of lips pressed against each other. his head rests against your chest as you tighten your hold around him.
the tenderness you feel when his arms wrap around you, you think, it feels like forever.
you take hold of his hand once more, this time, with just a little more strength. both of you sink into the smooth sand, not saying a thing. his head tilts onto your shoulder, the tip of his nose nuzzling into the crook of your neck.
and you understand what he’s trying to tell you, those unspoken yet unneeded words, reminding you of the fire it sparked within you when he first mouthed those words to you.
“jaejoong-ah,” you whisper, tone affectionate.
he replies with “don’t, don’t say a word,” and you follow, because you will do anything he asks you to, because he is your world, every space in your heart is filled with memories and pictures of him, smiling with grey eyes twinkling with delight, frowning when he’s thinking of something, nose scrunched up in a manner so adorable that he looks like a child, the sides he shows to you, and only you.
“yunho-yah, how long more do you think we will last? five years? ten? twenty?”
he asks, his voice a little too hesitant and insecure, it makes your heart hurt.
“i can’t promise you anything, jaejoong, but remember this, as long as i’m here, you’ll never be alone. keep the faith, baby, always keep the faith. saranghae.”
the sun sets before your eyes, falling below the horizon.
and you know, this is the definition of forever.

there's been a lot of stress lately, with exams and everything else life throws at me, including the lawsuit, ):
i try not to think about it too much now, because i'm just so tired and the burdens on my heart never do lighten.
this was not entirely on impulse, because i set my heart down to writing this because i wanted to remind everyone to remember to keep the faith. believe that we will turn out to be the victors of this tough battle, never give up hope.
