A Big Ol' Woo Hoo!!
Today was a great day!! Since I didn't really have the time or motivation to work on my resume yesterday, I decided that I needed to do it today. So this morning, while at work, I threw a little something together. Now, I know that I should probably have people look over it, but as I had just done this last year, I had a pretty good idea about what I needed to put in it, especially for a job in ticketing. I contacted some of the folks that I wanted to use as references and they, of course, were totally supportive. Looking at the names and positions of folks on my list--I have some damn fine references! ;-) Not wanting to waste any time, I emailed it off to the woman at the arena.
Within five minutes of sending it, she had written me back saying "looks great! I would love to talk to you next week, wed or fri?" So Wednesday at 12:30 I've got a job interview!!! I was talking to my co-worker who suggested me for the job and this was a position that she had for 3 years. She told me that I'm more than qualified for the job and, while I might get bored, it's certainly a place with growth potential. Let's just hope they pay! ;-)
