Rise and Shine
I'm so bloody tired! Between the time change and being out of coffee, I'm a mess!! This whole week I get up about a half hour later and sit up for a few and then I have to go back to bed for like 45 minutes. Then I end up being late to work (well, not really late since I'm supposed to work 9-5:30 but I've been doing the 8:30-5 thing) and the whole day I'm just fighting to stay awake. I end up staying up later than I want and then it's back to the same crap as before. It's a vicious cycle, I tell ya! And it DRIVES ME CRAZY!!
Patti LuPone was fan-freakin'-tastic! She looked wonderful, sounded great and was clearly having a good time. She did a few great cabaret numbers, my favorite being one called "Shattered Illusions" about dating and the things we do to make ourselves more attractive. I've been trying to fins the lyrics to post, but I'm too tired to do any actual looking. For now, you'll just have to take my word for it. ;-) And I successfully managed to avoid talking to anyone I used to work with. I just wasn't in the mood to lie about how much my job stresses me out and how I want to do something else. No one wants to hear the truth in polite situations. And I didn't have the energy to fake it.
Off to work now...well, maybe a little nap first.
