Bricks and Mortar

Well, I finally figured out what I should do with the four blank canvases i got for my birthday LAST YEAR. Yeah it's been a year that I've had them...I just have been lacking creativity when it comes to painting for a long time now, but I think I may stop that soon.

Carling and Steph's halloween costumes actually gave me the idea. Carling is being red riding hood, and steph is alice (as in wonderland) so I thought about doing paintings that depict my four favourite fairy tales.

I'm not sure if alice in wonderland counts as a fairy tale though, but I would love to do that, since it is one of my favourite stories. As for what stories I'd do...definately Red Riding Hood is one of my fav...Alice (if that counts) and beauty and the beast...there's also one I once read but can't remember the name of...

Anyway the only problem now, is that MANY people do this subject, I just have to find an original way of doing this, but something that is me.....
it's going to be difficult. I may even think up something entirely diffrent to use the canvases for while I'm trying to figure it out.

But the good thing is that with in the next little while I'll be getting my own little studio/work place. So now I can actually buy an animation table and have a place to set it up more permently. Plus a place to set up my eisel and and paints without having to put them away everytime i want to paint.

The whole reason I'm getting this is because, my granny, who lives in the downstairs of our house is moving into an apartment on the island near my uncle and his wife. Sooo, my brother is going to move in downstairs and pay my parents rent (cause it's the whole freakin downstairs and he's 23 years old and should be out on his own anyway) while I get his bedroom, which is right next to me,  as a studio/office. Now all I have to do is decide what to put in there...it's gonna make my little cluttered bedroom alot more lighter that's for sure. But while my brother is living down there we are going to renevate it so that it is offically livable. I mean it IS livable but not by law, for renting out to non family members. All that needs done is, the kitchen area needs to be added on . right now there's just a fridge and some counter space..so there needs to be a sink and stove put in. A door needs to be put up to seperate the laundry room off, right now there's just a curtain...and maybe some walls need to be put up since it's all one big area. The only seperate part is the bathroom.

But by the time this is all done, me and my brother should be moved out, and my parents can rent the downstairs out until there ready to move out themselves. It's amazing how long we've been living in this house. It's the longest we've been living in one place. before here, we were always moving. But I'll be glad to get the extra space. And even more glad when I move out into my own place.
