Last night was my cousin Gayle's 30th birthday party, fancy dress - come as something beginning with G. I wore my Roter Stern Leipzig T-shirt and hoodie and went as a German, but one of Gayle's friends had trumped me and done it properly with lederhosen. Gayle herself was a Greek goddess. Arriving, I met my cousin Rob and an unfamiliar female both dressed as Goths. My first thought was "Rob's got a new girlfriend," but the lady was actually my cousin Jacqui - completely unrecognisable at first sight all Gothed up! There were also several gypsies, a grumpy old man, a greaser, God, Geri Halliwell, a couple of geeks, and the winner of the landlord's prize - a bunch of grapes (a young man with a large number of purple balloons attached to his person). I spent the evening getting into my character - drinking Beck's.

Stopped off at Gran's to see the closing moments of the Eurovision and so learned Azerbaijan had won. I'm happy enough with that, they were a pleasant couple with a nice happy song and I'm glad to see a new country's name on the trophy - and looking forward to seeing the first Central Asian Eurovision next year. Not happy with lovely Anna finishing bottom though D:<

Got a lift to Cheshunt with Leon for the Ladies' play-off final with Gillingham. Lost 1-0. Gutted. Sadie gave me a lift home with Charley, Jenna and Laura and they picked the bones of the match. As we pulled into Portsmouth Harbour we saw a singing Glasgow Rangers fan outside the Ship Anson. It's all right for some.

Props to sarkasmo on Facebook though, she can always make me smile *x*
