I guess I should update. It's been a long time.

I'm still at TN Tech. At the moment, I'm majoring in Music Composition (more on that later.)

Anyways, apparently TN Tech in it's infinite wisdom decided to tear down two of the older dorms so they could build new ones. They barely had enough rooms for the students already. So, now I have been displaced. Right now I'm living in a two bedroom campus apartment with three other girls "temporarily" while they find space for everyone. Last I heard there were quite a few people still living in hotels. If they don't find rooms for us in four weeks we have the option of staying in the apartment for the semester. It looks quite likely that I'll be here for the whole semester.

I had a meeting with my composition professor yesterday. Since the regular composition professor is on sabbatical for some composition project, we have a new professor for the semester. Not only does she have no clue how things work in the department but apparently the professor who originally gave me permission to be a composition major doesn't remember me or that he gave me permission. So she spent the majority of our meeting trying to figure out how I had gotten into the major in the first place and asking me when the deadline to change my major for this semester was. Then she gave me an assignment for my lesson, but not until she insisted that I ask the Department Chair what the prerequisites for becoming a composition major were. I don't need to ask because I already know. You just need permission from the studio professor, which I got even though he doesn't remember. It's always something. I'm starting to hate the music department. If this doesn't work out I'm pretty much giving up on going to college.... Perhaps, I should just start my college career over in another country, like Japan or South Korea. Yeah... right.

I signed up for the Equestrian Team. The informational meeting is on Tuesday and it's pretty much the only thing this week that I'm looking forward to. And they actually welcome people who don't have any experience, unlike the music department.

Well, I should probably go work on composing music that I'm not good enough to compose. Meh.
