Clean Carpet... its over!!!
So the whole saga of the water leak, pipe fixing, wall patching and now carpet cleaning is over!!!! You have no idea how excited this makes me!!! The carpet cleaner guy just left, he has removed all the drywall dust and chunks and mud out of the carpet. Now our bedroom can be put back together that way we started before thanksgiving...that is hard to believe this whole thing started while we were in Midland over Thanksgiving and is ending the week before chrismtas...that is a little sad. The apartment manager is so nice, but communication is not one of their high points! We are only here till April so we will just grit our teeth and go.
Another exciting thing is that we believe most of the students who live around us are gone for the semester break. They had exams last week and it got quieter as time went on towards the weekend. We are going to enjoy the quiet holiday season.
We are headed to Midland on Friday and staying for a long weekend. Mike is ready for a bit of vacation and we are both interested in hanging out with the families. We have all our shopping done, even Mike, and all the wrapping. We are ready for chrismtas.
