Well we decided our weekend project was going to be recovering the kitchen chairs. The chairs we got from my parents and have lived a long life. I can remember when Dad recovered them the first time. We went from an oatmeal colored burlap fabric is a light denim. That was exciting at the time but the denim has seen better days. My little brother can be thanked for most of the stains on the fabric and it is worn and faded. Mike and I went to Joanns to pick out a fabric and found a great royal blue. While cutting our three yds. the lady asked what we were using it for and tols us we picked out the right fabric for the job. I have spent a few hours pulling staples out of the chairs, apparently Dad wanted to make sure the fabric really stayed on when he recovered. I have a bruised palm and a blister to prove my work. Once I got the blister Mike decided I was done and he would finish. He is currently stapling on the last of the 5 chair covers. I am so excited about the new color and the fact that they are clean and crisp! I keep seeing the recovered chairs and almost drooling because they look so good.
Mike was excited it was cheap I was excited to have great looking chairs. :)
